| Reason for participating |
I am finally ready to change my body (and life) for the better!! |
| Goals |
I would like to get a much higher score on my APFT, lose 25 lbs and 10% body fat. |
| Activity level |
I run 3 days per week, and weight train 4-5 days per week (60-90 mins per session). |
| Meal planning |
I hate to say it, but I am not much of a planner. I eat according to when I wake up and what my training schedule is like for that particular day. |
I am a 29 year old wife, mother, and soldier. I am also currently a full-time student and stay-at-home mom. I stopped working at the end of September 2010 to finally focus on my education. I am in my senior year of a bachelor program: Sports and Health Science with a concentration in Exercise Science. I should finish at the end of July 2012. I have been in love with fitness and nutrition for several years, but have lacked the motivation to change MY body for the better. I have always gone back and forth, eating clean and working out for a while, then quitting altogether.
Recently, I had a breakdown (or break THROUGH) depending on how I choose to look at it. I had to be weighed for the military and saw that I was at 178 pounds, my highest weight since 2005. It was a reality check, to say the least. The very next day, I made a commitment to myself. I made a training plan and went back to the gym. That was 4 weeks ago, and I have since lost 6 pounds and 3% body fat. I refuse to quit this time! I am hoping to place well in the 2012 Challenge. |
