Trying to maintain a very positive attitude, especially when I am not feeling my best, and I surround myself with positive people. I find myself being motivated by the success of friends as well as others. I believe in the concept "JUST DO IT!" Love that phrase. Because I have MS, does not mean it has me.

Lastly, I know the business here is bodybuilding and fitness, but I have to take a moment to recognize, honor and give thanks to all military personnel who have/is served/ing the United States.

My goal is to be a better me (person), mentally, physically, and spiritually. Just Do It! Be all that I can me.

My Mottos:

God, Family, and Friends.

Live well, Laugh Often, and Love Much

Everything is possible for him who believes. -Mark 9:23

Never, never, never give up! Winston Churchill

Endurance is the crowning quality, and patience all the passion of great hearts. -James Russell Lowell

Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king. 1P2:17

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Psalm 121: 1-3

It has been awhile since I last visit myMaxMuscle. I am still on chemo, and I have to admit that I have had my fair share of ups and downs with it. This weekend I was at my low due to all the crap with my health. I have not given up on working out; right now, I am unable to workout the way I would like to without some type of modification. This morning, I received an invite to a friend. I am truly inspired with this young man's accomplishments and the obstacles he (S. McCullough) has overcome. It served as a reminder that commonality in overcoming an obstacle is one determinatin, drive, and one's ability to persevere.

Went through somethings in 2009. Life is full of ups and downs. It is the downs that make us appreciate the ups, or it is the rain that makes us appreciate the sunshine. I have just completed week 13 of chemo, and I have nine more weeks to go. In the midst of it all, I am doing great. Believe or not, although I am weak, I still workout with light weights, and I run on an underwater treadmill; it is the best thing next to slice bread. :-)

ticMan, I truly understand. I have been on a low dosage chemo since November 2009. It is used to decrease the inflamation in my body which has an affect on the auto-immune system and treat the severe psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and multiple sclerosis. I take either an injection or oral tablets. Both are terrible. One doc suggested giving the chemo intravenously once a month; the other doc disagreed and said I must have a dose once-a-week in order for the treatment to effect. I only use light weight dumbbells and barbells. I load half my body weight of the Hammer Strength machines. I also have access to an underwater treadmill at physical therapy. I worried about using the underwater pool because of the heat and MS patients are often heat senitive. When I don't use the underwater treadmill, I run laps in the lap pool. Again, your efforts are truly inspiring. Keep up the good work. Wishing you a happy and healthy 2012!
