    ONE DREAM ONE SIZE

    May 19, 2010

    One Size Doesn't Fit All
Ever try to squeeze your feet into shoes that are one size too small just because you love the style? Doesn't work, does it?
Well, maybe you can... cram your feet into those shoes for the sake of a special evening, but you can't wear them all the time.
    They're just too uncomfortable!
Starving yourself with the goal of creating a physique that's contrary to your natural body type is a similar thing.
You might get there for a month or two, but eventually your body will rebel.
I'd chase the sun to the horizon, but the horizon is elusive. I kept looking at the horizon. Not the elements where being ill = then get well - then get going again. Not the elements where finding out I need a hysterectomy or have strong chances of cancer opening to be active inside me.
No, I chose to sit on the sand. Basically the momentum inside me, that part inside my heart, my desires tried on the "shoes", and quite. I didn't want to find the "right" size of shoes. To gain me, not the elements. There will always be "elements". Mine, were the shoe size and I had tried to make the shoe fit into everything. Instead of rearranging me inside to adapt, to learn, to grow, to take responsibility and then go into an extra inning, that last chance work out. Being at a "homeless" shelter, one would think that there would be so much indication to "inspire". To step up and shine to the prize called here. My life, is not measured by the homeless status of which I am currently. It is the way I know inside of me, to come through the aspects and learn to be a winner now. Not a loser. Trust myself to see the new me on the other side.
I wish you all health, and well being.
Believe is a word. Just balance it correctly in your life. I love you all. My journey, it just is beginning, after I get through the next foot print.

Hi, thanks for the prayers. In regards to your question, there are many factors that come into play when looking for the three things that you desire. If you're just starting out or relatively new to working out, all three can be accomplished simultaneously. As a person becomes more advanced and their fitness level increases, body fat decreases, and lean mass increases, he or she has to start to piecemeal it more and choose one or the other at a time. But from my experience and observations, people (especially women) benefit and look their best when they train with lighter weights and shorter rest periods for a majority of their workouts (think circuit training). From time to time you can throw in heavier weights and lower volume for a week or so in order to supplement to lean mass building portion of the formula, but you will constantly get that with the circuit-based training too, it's just good to keep a good mix (periodization) involved in your ever progressing fitness/body. Good luck with your goals! Phillip

Thanks for the note! I did see the scale drop one pound just this morning, for that, I am happy! Unlike you though, my clothing size is not going down. I have seen a lot of people say they have to buy new clothes, but I just haven't experienced that yet! What's up with that? My jeans - yes, they could stand to go down a size, but all my work suits are just looser. Oh well, not fretting yet. So you're on track??? AWESOME, love this motivation. And I can't wait until the weather warms up here so I can take those walks you're talking about to appreciate nature. I'm sure you have more scenery than Nebraska, but the moon and the stars are the same :-)

Hi Teresa, I watch the show with my grandchildren all the time. They just love it, and it's grown on me... When we went to Great America last summer, we had to get the hats... LOL

I swear... my fingers do there own thing sometimes... In the beginning of the 2nd paragraph, I meant to say... "I just started walking..." lol

Hi Patty, I think you write some very inspirational stuff. I especially liked the article that talked about taking in a deep breath of nature and had the quotes from Tsu about the universe surrendering to still minds and Whitman's piece about the miracle of light and dark, and space. I gave started walking almost everywhere a few months back to help with my getting fitter, and I'm so amazed by the beauty of nature that surrounds me. When I'm walking early in the morning when the dew is still on the trees and grass and sun has yet to rise, and it's still and quiet and the only sound I can hear are the birds chirping, it is the most peaceful feeling I've ever had. That feeling is only surpassed by the magnificence of the night when I'm walking in my neighborhood after dark and the only light is the moon and the stars... it's breathtaking! I've gained a renewed appreciation for the universe and it's beauty and walking has never been easier. Thanks again for your inspiration.

Thank you so much Catherine! I hear you I always make sure that I am prepared & get all of my stuff together. Because I know I would be mad at myself if I didnt go. Especially after a long hard day when you need it the most. I have even started bringing a cooler of food & drink with me where ever go so I don't miss any of my meals. By the way I keep meaning to tell you that I love your hat. I watch that show everyday with the kids. Take care & have super weekend.

FINDING PEACE AMONGST THE SWEAT AND TEARS

    March 9, 2010

Not because of flawed logic but because of bad information (growing up as a kid and into adult staging).
My life, it's inner harboring, asking of "Am I good enough for this?"
"YES"! More than anything before, now is the time!
My "food intake" was way off. Now, during these months behind and ahead are with "information", and Max Formation inside my being.
I am with the consequence that I don’t know when to give up. (I suppose that "stubborn" streak inside me mom said I have).
( let me sit in the sauna - again - to think about this).
Though, I hadn't come to fully take stock in the healthy fact: I know that I have become competent but have neither the drive nor the aptitude to become excellent.
I’m not, by the way, saying I do. Am just sheer determined to "go the second mile"! To "work my butt" off (or is it skinny)! In my tears of my sweat there have been, and
I wonder of mediocrity in most endeavours (alas, that’s another topic, but I am not being facetious). I only strive for excellence in a couple of areas and, through long practice and much suffering.
I have perhaps arrived in one or two areas.
Mostly, though, I had come to (of my past to accept) an arena that this low level of mediocrity in my own life.
Now, I cannot: for the simple reason that I understand how many calories are required for a state change and I know that I can only pour those calories into a few things and I had better be sure they really matter.
540 calories hurts! And if any one is right, more won’t help anyway. What is required is different.
Is it worth it to try to make the water boil? (212 degree's)
