Headrush40's Journal
01/27/2012 Losing motivation?January 27, 2012 6:04pm I've been reading a lot of journals from people that seem to be losing momentum. I know it is very hard to stay motivated all the time, but you have to keep pushing. You have to believe in yourself and believe that you can and will reach your goals and dreams of having the body you have always wanted. Dieting is a very mental game. It takes tons and tons of discipline and will power to fight the temptations and the cravings that come along with getting fit. I want everyone that is struggling to take a moment and think back to when you first decided to sign up for this challenge. Why did you do it? Maybe for some of you it was so you could be healthier, maybe for some it was because you want to be a role model for your children, maybe some of you like the sound of 25,000 dollars. I really feel the need to stress that if you made a commitment to do this for any other reason than soley for yourself it will be very hard to stick it out until the end. You control you, what you put into your mouth and how much exercise you do, you control your mood and you must control your environment. So you were invited to a work party or a social gathering and you know there is going to be peer pressure to drink alcohol or eat bad food, if you make the decision to go then you better be 100% sure you can resist those temptations. If it were me I would respectfully decline, if you have friends that know you are in this challenge, but they continue to pressure you to go party or out to eat with them, I would steer clear of those people for awhile. I have found myself becoming somewhat of a social misfit during this transformation. I feel like I haven't seen a lot of my friends in quite awhile, but that is okay. Those friends will be there when you get done and if they are not, well they werent very good friends to begin with. If anyone out there needs some advice or just someone to talk to and give support or someone to call on when they are feeling tempted, feel free to contact me. I am absolutely 100% committed to this transformation and making my dreams come true in 2012 and I want you to be as well! We are all in this together! Stay strong, stay motivated, nothing happens overnight. They say it takes 4 weeks to notice changes in your body, 8 weeks for your friends to notice and 12 weeks for the rest of the world to notice. Don't give up on yourself just yet, you are the strongest and most important person you've got! God bless everyone and I hope to see each and every one of you come June! Sign in to leave a comment
