To Cheat or Not to Cheat...

January 27, 2012 4:48pm

...that was the question as I drove home last night from my weigh-in at MAX. Bummed to say the least. Last week I had lost 1.4 pounds mostly of FAT so I was extremely happy with that result. This week...I gained a pound of it back, lost muscle mass AND my fat went UP! Really??!!? Not a lot of difference in what I did this week over last but the results sure wasn't the same. Well, for those wondering if I gave in - I didn't. I went home, ate my chicken, rice & broccoli and decided that there would not be a repeat next Thursday! For all of you Max-Maniacs keep fighting the good fight and stick to your plans. This is a marathon, not a sprint!

Thanks Ladies! I am pretty OCD when it comes to the food plan that my Max Guru has put in place so my food has been good. My trainer quit the gym I am at so structured workouts were lacking last week. I did stuff on my own but that rarely is as good as having some one pushing you. This week will be better and I have a new trainer lined up. Hoping to see some of that Sunshine that Leigh Anne had!!

Use that weigh-in as fuel to push even harder this week!! Great job not cheating; I know that takes a ton of willpower!

Your body is fighting the bad fight trying to keep you fat... I read a study that even once you have dropped your weight your body will try and fight you to gain it all back for at least a year afterwards... dang body doesn't like change. Great job on not cheating.. My MM guy wants me to have a cheat meal once a week.. this is a hard struggle for me but I did it and it sent my mind into a tail spin and the scale... it better work! :)

I am sorry to hear that your weight went up, however it is just a bump in the road. Re-examine what you are eating. Make a journal if necessary. Honestly if you have to write it down, it makes you think twice! I know you will have a better week next week..
