I need a good kick in the butt!!

February 12, 2012 6:20pm

Hey everyone, wow, I can't believe it has been over a week since I have been on here! I have been so busy with my dad still in the hospital. We moved him to a home to get some PT but he seems to be getting worse not better. We are not exactly sure what to do. The meds they have him on for pain are causing hallucinations and confusion. He is so unlike the man he was even 3 months ago. It is so hard to watch.

Anyway, I have been neglecting myself . I have still been exercising at least 5 days a week some time two a days. However my food choices have been poor for the most part. I am back to eating all my comfort foods and feeling gross afterwards.

I got an email about my triathlon which they reminded us is only 3 1/2 months away and my half marathon is only 10 weeks away....YIKES. So it is time to kick it in gear.

I NEED a good kick in the butt!!! Please...kick me!!

You have a lot going on. I think it's awesome you are still getting your workout in. Have you tried packing a cooler and more protein shakes so you have them handy? I know you have read my journals about my dad & brother, so I can relate it's not easy when you have so much going on your life. Have you tried Quest bars from MM? They are yummy and good for a quick snack and I sometimes have used them for a meal replacement. This may help you when you feel like eating some not so good for you foods.
