I have become a gym rat over the last 3 months. Before that I had not worked out in years. I turned 34 in October and a 10 week fitness challenge was my gift to me. I kicked butt in the challenge. I lost 10 pounds, 17.5 overall inches and won the $1000 prize.( I wish I had known about this contest 17.5 inches ago.) Now I am addicted to working out, eating right and winning prizes, so watch out! I am in this one 100%.
I am 5'2 inches and am working on setting 4 week goals until the end of June. I am hoping that each goal will help to put me in the lead for this contest.
STARTING MEASUREMENTS November of 2011
Chest 37.5
Waist 30.5
Arm 12
Thigh 23
Hips 38.25
January's goal- Stop smoking! (Jan 22nd update- not one smoke in 3 weeks and not one slip. I gained 2.5 pounds since I quit, but lost 3/4" in each thigh. I am still working out 9-10 times a week! I am hoping that my legs really transform over the next few weeks. They are February's goal!
February 12, 2012 Measurements
Chest 34 (3.5" down)
Waist 26.5 (4" down)
Arm 10.25 (1 3/4" down)
Thigh 21 (2" down)
Hips 32.5 (5 3/4" down) (Down 21 inches overall)
February's goal: I want to get to 21% body fat and I want one more inch off each thigh. I am joining spin classes as well as boot camps to ramp up my cardio. I am hoping that this plus my current stack will burn off some body fat while I tone my legs at the same time. Oh yeah! I unfortunately get to start over on January's goal of not smoking. I am not stressed out about it now though. I know that I can do it.
My next MM check in is on Monday March 5th. I will know the end results for February's goals soon.
March 3rd Measurements:
Chest 34" (3.5" down)
Waist 25.5" (5" down)
Arm 9.75" (2.25" down)
Thigh 20" (3" down)
Hips 31.25" (7" down)
That is a total of 26 overall inches since my start!!!
March goal: To take 1 more inch off of each thigh and 1/2 inch off my waist. Body Fat goal is to go down 2% in March.
March 31 Measurements:
I should have set higher goals...I lost exactly one inch off of each thigh and 1/2 inch off the waist. I blew away the body fat goal though. I went down 4% bf in the last 5 weeks.

Arm 9.75" (2.25" down)
Thigh 20" (3" down)
Hips 30.50" (7.75" down)
May Goal: Body fat down to 16% Come hell or high water, I will do this. Goal number 2 is to get a dang photo updated and posted. :) |
