I've never been much of a sports person. I can remember my mom telling me to go outside for a little while just to get fresh air. I did join the local community swim team for two years of high school.

My husband and I had our first daughter in 1993. My body naturally bounced back and I never had to watch what I was eating (oh the joy!). I started noticing a difference when she was about 5. So, I started swimming again when I had the chance. Another move and i was back to adding on the pounds.

It wasn't until after our second daughter was born in 2002 that I slowly noticed the weight. I almost reached 150lbs and decided I couldn't go into double digit sizes for my clothes. I just refused! So I squeezed into sizes that didnt fit me.

After another move and a hurricane, husband out of town all the time I decided to take advantage of this time. I was going to the gym and taking areobic classes. A cousin of my husbands suggested that I take a spin class. One hour long spin class and my legs could barely hold me up! Three months later I decided to try again. Much better. There started my love. I signed up for the clubs tour de France. 23 spin classes in 22 days! I had to double up some days, more than once. However, I was eating what I was burning and not getting anywhere. My body looked different but my weight stayed the same.

Again another move! It really slows me down and takes me a while to find my groove. I did the up at 5am to make class thing. It made me very tired. Two summers ago I signed up with a private trainer for a few months. He taught me how to eat better and workout my entire body in less time. The eating part was the hardest. I have a sweet tooth and my family doesnt help any in this area!

Now I have motivation! Max Formation!

Thank you Tanya!!! That’s one of the good things about being short,,,, there’s less muscle to have to develop before it starts peaking through!!!!

I threw the asparagus in the oven with some seasoning. Last time I made it they turned out wonderful. I TOTALLY overcooked them tonight and gagged them down! lol Glad I didn't ruin both batches that I just bought!

I went to look at the C25K program. The one I have is very similar, but 6 weeks instead of 8. I don't have a deadline so I might blend the two. Mine is a program developed by the Lincoln Track Club for their program Beginners Luck. They have classes once a week followed by a big group run. Unfortunately, their class is at the same time as TKD. A couple of my freinds took this class two years ago and they just ran the Lincoln Half Marathon. They are helping me with getting back into running.

Let me know how that works our when you start cross fit. I bet it will only make your running better and you will improve your times a few months after you start. I think if you just run twice a week, one of them being intervals and you are doing cross fit three times a week you will really see a difference. I bet you will cut a lot faster too. You do not much left to lose so it gets a little harder. Have a good day.
