Great week in the gym so far!
Location Sioux Falls, SD
Age 30

Interests I enjoy just about every sport. I love going to football, baseball, and basketball games (professional or the local sports teams). In the summer I enjoy going to the lakes and spending time with family.
Smoke? I do not smoke
Drink? I occassionally drink
Education Graduated college / 4-year / BA
Favorite movies I like just about everything, but most notably Old School, Wedding Crashers, 40 Year Old Virgin, The Dark Night, and my fiance got me into Harry Potter recently.
Favorite music Again like just about anything. Rock, Hip Hop, Country, etc. I defintely enjoy my old school work out music.
I am 30 years old and am getting married in August. I am a CPA and work in an accounting office, so I basically sit in a chair all day. I enjoy just about any sport, but have a passion for football and baseball. I still played baseball competitively last summer, but knew I had potential health concerns when I couldn’t even run to first base anymore without feeling like I was going to fall over to do shortness of breath.

While I played sports in college I was in pretty good shape (around 215 lbs and a decent physique). However, when I graduated from college in May 2005 I told myself I was done working out as it seemed like all I did was work out. In college it more or less felt like a job. In addition to not working out I was eating out 3 times a day. I gained 50 lbs in 6-8 months and weighed about 265. At this point I told myself that I at least needed to work out. So I started again, but I would go in spurts. I would work out for 1 month then take 3 off while still eating the same. I have done this the last 4 years or so. This has allowed me to maintain a weight of 255 or so, but I never worked hard enough to get down to my desired weight (around 215-220).

So on January 4, 2012 I have joined the Max Formation Challenge to give me added motivation to reach my goals. Here are some of my stats from my weigh-ins at the Max Muscle here in Sioux Falls:

Sweet! Your off to a great start! That's some really good progress so far. You can get down to 215 just keep changing it up and don't give up the work! Don't used your wedding for any reason in getting fit. Do this for yourself, otherwise, after the wedding you'll get complacent. Many women take the "wedding" high road.

Looks like yoour moving back to the skinny super fit guy of years ago. It sucks when your younger, playing college sports and thinking "not me" it will never happen to me...I will always be fit and in shape (at least thats what I told myself) Best of luck to reach your goals.

Although I never played college sports I always kept in shape, and understand wanting to be done working out. I've enjoyed reading your journals and encourage you to continue the Vinsanity towards them! Thanks for the friend request. Keep strong and keep going.

Thanks for the add. If you ever run into Kade at MM in SF pick his brain (careful though - its alittle thin! HaHa). He's my trainer and if you have any training questions he will have the answers. He's smarter than he looks (haha)! Good luck to you!
